Vinification. Granito is a micro-terroir in a granitic soil which is more than 120 million years old. They are old vines with deep roots. It is minerality expressed in the bottle. This Semillon is from Block 1 Butuco’s vineyard, Maule’s Dry coastal area, 30km from the Pacific Ocean and 183 meters above sea level. It is product of old vines planted in the 1940’s, which did not receive irrigation. It is hand harvested in the middle of March. Grapes are pressed in a vertical press, followed by barrel fermentation and then the wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels

Blend. 100% País
Location. Maule Valley
Altitude. 193 M.A.S.L.
Tasting Note. In the glass it presents a beautiful golden copper colour, pear and green apple flavours dominate the palate with zesty white pepper and a long complex finish
Vinification Process. The vines grow naturally on trees surrounding the vineyards, harvesting is done by hand and requires the use of ladders (upto 5 meters long) to reach the grapes. Some of the bunches are naturally much lighter in colour than others and these are selected for the ‘White’. It is wild fermented with minimum temperature control. The wine is kept in clay amphora (tinajas), which accentuates micro-oxygenation and complexity. Finally, the wine is neither filtrated nor clarified
