Ripasso wines benefit from extra structure and fruit delivered by using the skins of sun dried grapes. This wine is bursting with cherries on the nose, has great depth of flavour, silky smooth fruit and a long, rich velvety finish.

Biscardo Vini

On the nose there is the nectar of field flowers such as camomile, elderflower, iris. Mineral on the palate with a finish of almond, typical of classic Garganega.

Green sweet melon, rich citrus, lime and perfume greets you on the nose while hints of nuttiness on the palate ends in a crisp fresh finish.

Azienda Agricola la Battistina

Ruby red colour. A clean nose with notes of balsamic and fine nuances of plum and clean oak. Intense spice and oak on layers of velvety cherry fruit and a slight hint of licquorice. Lasting rich fruit flavours with smooth round tannins. Complex and structured. A pleasant finish with red fruits and hints of eucalyptus.

A medium bodied wine with a savoury nose and slight cedar characters. Ripe, yet soft tannins complement the aromas of plump dark, red fruit and ripe strawberries with a hint of dark chocolate and cocoa on the nose.

Hugel

Young, fresh and fruit-driven, with varietal notes of white fruit and flowers, freshly cut grass and a citrus touch. The palate is harmonious and tender, with beautiful volume and freshness, finishing dry.

Pazo Señorans

The wine has lots of warm black fruit and plum aromas, with cinnamon, spices, pepper and a hint of vanilla. The palate is concentrated with damsons, red fruit, spice and stony minerality with a very elegant and warm finish. The mouth is initially very silky but gives way to some mouth watering acidity and firm tannins.

Domaine Chante Cigale

70% Grenache Noir and 30% Carignan Noir

Lovely red colour with purple hints. This intense red wine displays an astonishing nose of small red fruits with a hint of vanilla. On the palate the wines is full-bodied and smooth, completed by elegant fine tannins. The sweetness of the Grenache brings a long finish.

Domaine de la Baume

Ripe, warm and generous on the nose with abundant plum and cherry aromas, roasted coffee beans and hints of dried fruits. Full bodied and richly flavoured with berry and plum fruit, wild cherry acidity and a hint of dark chocolate. Supple tannins lead to a spicy finish, with the characteristic dry bite of good Amarone.

Montressor

Kakhuri N8 is a blend of 4 Georgian indigenous grape varieties – Rkatsiteli, Kakhuri Mtsvane, Khikhvi and Kisi, harvested in Kakheti, east Georgia. Grapes are exclusively hand selected and only highest quality, fully ripe grapes are used for production. The wine is made using old Kakhetian traditional winemaking method with skin contact. Fermentation on skins takes place for 7-10 days, once the fermentation is finished the grape skin remain with the wine for 6 months.

Full of rich dried fruit and nutty flavours and long dry refreshing finish are much easier to get your mouth around than the grape varieties that have gone into it!

Teliani Valley

A limited harvest of 5-7 tons per hectare from this excellent site for Saperavi, Kisiskhevi. Whole bunches are hand selected before being placed into underground qvevri, where fermentation takes place for 7-9 days with selected yeasts - being underground, the qvevri maintains the perfect temeperature at all times. Due to the size of the qvevri, production is limited to 6500 bottles only. Once fermentation is complete, the grape skins are removed and the wine spends further time maturing in the qvevri before bottling.

Kisiskhevi is a superb terroir within the wider Kakheti region, particularly for Saperavi. The best grapes are selected for fermentation in Qvevri, resulting in a deep coloured and structured wine that is still remarkably approachable due to its vibrant primary fruit and roasted nut aromas.

Teliani Valley

Beautiful fruit purity of limes and ripe gooseberry, with tropical, floral and fine herbal notes, ruby grapefruit and white pear drop on the finish. This is cool climate Sauvignon Blanc – vibrant, mineral, elegant, balanced and delicate, with a long, layered and complex finish.

Iona

A fine, crisp and fresh wine, with peach and pear characteristics, and refreshing acidity on the finish.

Monacesca

Shows lovely balance of ripeness, varietal purity and finesse. Fragrant rose-petal/water and grapefruit aromas with a hint of sweet spice, pretty rich and pineappley, but with fine structure and complexity, spicy juicy fruit and acidity combine well to finish.

Cave de Turckheim

Very impressive Cabernet dominated Bordeaux, packed full of black plum fruit, rich tannins and excellent potential.

Chateau Cissac

Iona winery uses organic practices in the cultivation of their wines. Minimal intervention whilst the grapes are growing with hand harvesting to select only the best grapes for the wines.

Succulent black cherry aroma, bright but delicate and hints of forest floor, with underlying floral and spicy notes. On the palate, the wine is powerful, with silk-textured length.

Iona

This wine is made from Georgias's indigenous grape variety – Saperavi, which is hand harvested from the Kakheti Region (East Georgia). Wine undergoes 7-10 days of fermentation on skins. Once fermentation is complete, skins are removed from the wine.

Saperavi is often compared to Malbec, Cabernet Franc and even Gamay depending on how it is made. In this case we are firmly in Malbec territory – deep, bright and juicy with dark berry flavours.

Teliani Valley Winery

• Colour. medium red with purple hints.
• Bouquet. the nose shows spicy notes with red berries and cedary oak.
• Palate. the palate is medium bodied. Sweet rich fruit and soft velvet tannins result in a well structured wine with a long dry finish.

Redman Wines

Single vineyard wine from the Helderberg region with notes of cinnamon and sweet spices. Barrel matured with ripe yet soft tannin.

Hermandad Chardonnay shows a pale yellow colour with greenish highlights. The nose is concentrated and intense with citrus, pineapple and green apple aromas, interwoven with vanilla notes from the oak and some mineral characters from the soil. With a great concentration and elegance, on the palate the first impact is ripe, well balanced by the natural acidity, with rich white fruits and toast bread, and light notes of vanilla. Bodega Los Haroldos

Mouthwatering stone fruit, lemon, herbs, a hint of passion fruit and subtle notes of gooseberry. The grapes chosen for this wine are from Oliver's oldest and finest vines.

Weingut Oliver Zeter

La Reine de l'Arenite, meaning ‘Queen of the Arenite’ refers to the terroir of pinky, crumbly sandstone of the La Madone vineyards, rated as one of the best vineyards in Fleurie. At up to 450m altitude and with soils still untouched by phylloxera, goblet trained vines on the east and south east facing vineyards lie below the Chapel of the Madonna at the top of the hill. Gamay Noir vines range from 40 to 90 years of age. Grapes are hand-picked and whole-berry fermented for 8-10 days (traditional maceration carbonique) followed by a further 2 or 3 days on the skins to assist with aromas. No use of cultured yeasts. Pressed after an 8-10 day cuvaison. First press wine was returned to vat and left for 8 months before bottling.

Very pretty indeed, a heady perfume of freshly picked irises and peonies drifts above the crushed berry fruit nose. Ripe tannins and fresh acidity support a palate of Morello cherries, strawberries with wonderful savoury finish.

A spectacular blend of indigenous and international varieties. With a combination of Grasevina, Muller Thurgau, Sauvignon Blanc & Pinot Gris this giant white pleases a multitude of palate types. A fresh and light white, fruit forward, with a touch of meadow flowers. Top-quality wine with protected geographical indication Zagorje – Medimurje. A real treat for the adventurous wine lover!

Straw green hues, expressive freshness & rich fruity tones. This citrus & peach bomb also has mingling notes of celery and pine trees. Thus adding a more savoury element to this tangy white. Bursting with minerality, a harmonious crisp acidity and a beautifully long length. A truly fascinating, happy white!

Bolfan Vinski Vrh

Produced in Quinta de Santa Teresa, with grapes from the P67 parcel, this Monólogo is made from Avesso, the typical variety of Baião.

This wine shows a fresh aromatic profile, with notes of white flowers, thyme and a citric side to it, particularly passion fruit. On the palate smooth and silky notes of guava and pear, along with a well-adjusted acidity. It will age well in bottle.

A&D Wines

This is from a variety of parcels on the ‘Butte de Chaume’, predominantly from younger (10-12-year-old) vines and predominantly from schist soils. The depth and luxurious texture from these vines is absolutely astonishing and seems all the more remarkable when you know that the wine is fermented and aged only in stainless steel. Harvesting is in small boxes and the grapes are cooled before a long, slow (4.5hrs) pressing in the cool room. Wild yeast ferment, partial Malo. Even at this ‘entry level’ and despite all the richness on show, this wine is beautifully precise and has exciting, bright, engaging acidity at the finish. It’s probably about twice the price of ‘yer average’ Anjou Blanc… which makes it quite outstanding value!

Chateau de Plaisance

A very fruity and refreshing easy to drink rosé, with a bouquet full of ripe red fruits. A particularly well-balanced and structured wine with the aromatic themes continuing on the palate.

Famille Bourgeois Sancerre

Floral nose of linden and verbena, and fresh apricot with a hint minerality. The palate is smooth, the liveliness of aromatic acid fruit creating a refreshing balance on the finish.

The Basque country is to classic Spain as chalk is to cheese. The lettering is different, and the names make you wonder if you've suddenly and accidentally wandered into Greece. Like many parts of Spain, vineyards in the Basque Country have been tended since Ancient Roman times. The region is bounded by the Bay of Biscay to the north and to match the resulting cuisine, the wines are piercingly acidic and refreshing.

Rezebal have 20 hectares of high-trained vines on the green, humid coastal outskirts of Zarautz in the small Chacolí de Guetaria DO. The Rezabals (Mireya and Anders) were folk singers in their youth, but their family history lay in wine and in 1996 they decided that wine was where their future lay too. They now have some 20 hectares of high trained vines on the green, humid coastal outskirts of Zarautz in the small DO of Txacolí Getariako, about halfway between the important Basque towns of Bilbao (Bilbo) and San Sebastián (Donostia).

Their entry wine is pure Hondarrabi Zuri, the most important indigenous grape of the region, with an exuberant lemony punch, a refreshing buoyancy and the hallmark, bracing acidity found nowhere else in the peninsula and just 11% alcohol. This is classic, coastal Txacolí with just the rightamount of spritz, typical of the style.

Deep black fruit, raisins and toast. This is a very well structured wine with firm tannins and refreshing acidity, toasty cedar notes mingle well with bramble fruit and dark cherries. A long and complex finish.

Los Haroldos

On the nose there is a powerful explosion of guava and an aromatic mix of varietal herbal notes complemented with tropical fruits, citrus and stonefruits and a precise minerality. The palate is elegantly proportioned with lovely soft acid carrying the fruit flavours to a very long, mouthwatering finish.

Catalina Sounds

35% Trincadeira, 35% Tinta Caiada, 10%Aragonez, 10% Alicante Bouschet 10% Petit Verdot.

Based on the traditional red grape varieties of the Alto Alentejo plus a guest variety such as Petit Verdot.

Made from selected old vine grapes grown at the higher altitudes of the Alto Alentejo. Small tank fermentation with prolonged maceration resulted in wines, from the above varieties, being selected by their potential for 22 months barrel aging resulting in a rich and complex wine typical of the this special region of Portugal.

Dense red with dark center, ripe soft red fruit, violets with tarry/spicy notes. Layers of ripe fruit, good acidity and structure. Great volume with integrated oak followed by a soft, prolonged finish.

The Gómez Cruzado winery dates back to 1886 when Angel Gómez de Arteche started to produce and bottle his own wine in Haro, at the very heart of Rioja Alta. This was in the day when the wine trade between Rioja and France passed along the Tudela-Bilbao line, and the key Rioja wineries were located around the station of Haro. The winery sits just 100m from the station to this day.

85% Tempranillo, 10% graciano, 5% Garnacha

Pronounced black cherry, cedar and spice aromas. The palate is supple yet richly-flavoured with layers of dark plum, bramble fruit and cherry supported by well-integrated tannins. Toasty notes, black pepper and dried fruit characters on the finish.

Bodegas Gomez Cruzado

60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Gris. The Chardonnay is aged in Hungarian and French oak barrels for 6 months whilst the Pinot Gris is aged and fermented in stainless steel prior to blending.

Clear and bright pale yellow in colour, the nose is pronounced stone fruit and lemon sherbert characters. The palate is zesty with delicious fleshy nectarine fruit underpinned with good acidity and minerality.

Kovacs Nimrod Winery

Pronounced and complex nose with savoury, nutty aromas and hints of fennel, ginger and white spice. The palate is fine, concentrated and textural, with crisp citrus and lightly honeyed stone fruit balanced by minerality and sappy acidity.

Cantine Nicosia

From the heart of historical Prosecco, Follo or Fol as locals call this picturesque little town, here's a severe selection of 100% Prosecco grapes. This elegant extra brut is characterised by inviting aromas of citrus fruit, especially tangerine and grapefruit with a note of rustic mint. The mouth is wide and creamy. Full of fresh fruits with a firm acidity that provides a crisp, lingering finish of lime, mineral and almond.

Zucchetto

Amongst the first Chilean blends to champion Carmenere. Rich sumptuous intense black cherries, mulberries and more berries! Vanilla, sweet spice with herbal and savoury tones together with a hint of mint. The palate contains the same berry intensity plus a wonderful warm dusty character, reminiscent of its location. It is a well-balanced and complex wine with soft, round tannins and a long finish that shows both character and personality.

Emiliana

Liberty School Chardonnay is sourced from key vineyard sites along California's Central Coast. Our vineyards in Paicines and Paso Robles give body and richness to the wine, while vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands add elegance, acidity and a tropical character. Santa Barbara County and Santa Maria Valley vineyards contribute roundness, making for a well-balanced Chardonnay with excellent varietal expression.

Beautiful pale gold. On the nose fresh aromas of lemon peel and pear are accented by notes of caramel that add a touch of richness. Bright stone fruit flavours of apricot and nectarine are balanced with a splash of citrus and creamy vanilla undertones, adding a silky texture to the wine.

Ruby red with earthy colour notes. Elegant and complex in the nose with a good concentration of black fruit, thyme and rosemary with secondary aromas of leather and tobacco leaves. It is polished and rounded, making it pleasant and easy to drink. Fleshy with both elegance and power. It has touches of black fruit jam and liquorice warm, with a long, delicious and persistent finish.
